Represented by Dr. Raphael Arasio and Vincent Lomurai, the KRSU joined a meeting between the Office of the Prime Minister in Uganda and the Governor of Turkana District, Kenya, held in District in September 2022. The meeting attracted civil society organisations in Karamoja, saw the Prime Minister Hon. Robinah Nabanja and the Governor of Turkana County in Kenya, Jeremaih Lomorukai Napotikan discuss collaboration between Turkana County, district local governments in Karamoja and the Uganda People’s Defence Force for maintaining peace and security. They also discussed important cross-border investments such as joint water, veterinary and medical services as well as roads, trade, and pastoralist’s mobility.
