Karamoja Resilience Support Unit organized a virtual meeting for September 2022 on behalf of the Karamoja Development Partners Group (KDPG). The KDPG is a platform of bilateral donors and multilateral agencies including UN agencies and serves as a learning, planning and coordination platform. The meeting was attended by USAID, the Embassy of Ireland, EU, KFW, GIZ, Italian Cooperation, FAO, and WFP and representatives of the Karamoja INGO group.
During this meeting KRSU presented the findings of the recent study on the barriers and opportunities to girls’ education in Karamoja. During the same meeting Chemonics presented on the USAID/Cross-Border Community Resilience Activity which started in 2021 and will end in 2026. The activity targets 5 clusters in Karamoja, Moyale and Mandera; in 4 countries (Uganda, Kenya, South Sudan and Ethiopia).
